My life at work!

So,probably the newest and most recent thing in my life lately is my first job.I started my first part time job at DQ.Usually I work 11-4,3 days a week, and covered in ice cream by the time I'm done.Which ,at least that point,I taste good! It's alot different then what I'm used to,but I'm gradually getti ng used to it.So far,I've had to memorize by heart,as well as make:Shakes, malts, slushies, banana splits,blizzards(30+),cones,sundaes,parfaits,cupfections,freezes,dillybars,and so much more!It reminded me of the sermon by S.M. Davis "Hard work:the foundation of character".On that note,I've met quite a few co workers. Some of them I really enjoy, others not so much, and try to be extra nice (Even though sometimes I fail or forget). Also,a few relatives dropped by that I've been able to see and make a certain item for them.I'm always happy to see a friendly face, though I would be a little embarrassed to have them see me in jeans and a t shirt covered in...

Fireworks!!

So,for the 4th,it really kinda wasn't really the same without our grandma. She usually organized getting together for holidays and bdays and stuff,so it felt kinda weird without her.Honestly,we almost didn't do anything to celebrate it.Grandpa went off to Maine, uncle had to work and our Aunt n uncle had their own plans. So,we really didn't have any "Blood relatives"to celebrate it with. So,instead,we spent it with our adoptive grandparents. We always enjoy spending time with them, talking, and making fun memories together as a family.Afterwards, one of our church family members,Eli,had asked us to drive him and his siblings to the fireworks in warroad.so we got to see the show.We met up with some other friends, and watched the display together, and had a wonderful time!It was so amazing watching the fireworks! It was like the we're exploding in the sky!At that moment,it instantly reminded me of Physics.Where you see the color first, then the sound a few seconds after.The...

My Grandma

Yesterday I attended a funeral. Not really sure how to put this,or if it'll come out right.I attended a persons funeral to which I was very close with.My grandmas. It was touching to see how many lives Mary Mathews touched.I look around the auditorium and see people hurting just as much as I am n know I'm not alone. We held an open house afterward and was so thankful for all the people who brought delicious desserts and snacks,so we wouldn't have to wait tables and clean up.Making the day even longer. We all had a good fellowship and spent some time with friends and family. As my grandma would say "LOVE ISNT MEANT TO STAY,LOVE ISNT LOVE UNTIL YOU GIVE IT AWAY" If you have not seen the funeral or couldn't make it here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCs474BVBxAA6DOC4sjRFP-A

What can i do to help?

Out of the kindness of  others' hearts,I've heard alot of "Hey,I know your family is going through a tough time right now, what can I do to help?" First,I would like to tell you those words  really effect me.To know that the people in my life care enough to say that, and put it to action is such a blessing in my life!It shows me how much my family and friends really do care.Everytime I see this,I get a glimpse  of Jesus living inside them. And it brightens my day just a little bit more. So about the what can I do to help question, here's your answer: #1:Your thoughts and prayers Probably the best thing you could do for my family is pray for us.A long one,a short one,a passing thought,it matters not.Because God hears those prayers, and answers them. #2:Lend an ear Being able to talk about this, can really help us deal with grief or help us to see things from a different perspective.Other times, its hard to talk about it,or the words won't come and your mind goes blank...

See you later,never goodbye

I know I haven't been able to post as much as I normally would. Many other things have been taking up my time nowadays. The more time wears on,the busier it gets.To fill you in,my grandma has had a turn for the worst, and is now placed on hospice. Our family has appreciated all the prayers and thoughts our way and ask for continuance of prayer.Between the constant  (been keeping 6 ft rule as much as possible between people)moving between our house and grandma's,our world has been turned upside down.I ask that you pray for my mom.She has been doing the jobs no one else wants to,been trying to be there for grandma as well as trying to manage her own at home.Stress and heartache have been there with her are present quite a bit.Thankfully she has my family,my Daddy and our Heavenly Father to lean on!Through it all,if this had taught us nothing else (to which we'very learned much)is to grow closer as a family. To stick up and be there for one another.Thankyou to all who read this an...

The Thank you Post

Dear Readers, Since I found out my grandma has cancer,it's been a tough road for all of us.In some way or another,it left a scar on our hearts.I'm so thankful that God is with us through these tough times.I've come to believe sometimes loving someone comes with a price. When you love someone,it hurts you to see them in pain. That is the price to loving somone, but loving them is worth the risk.I've learned time is precious, everyone has it,but no one can keep it.It's fleeting, one here moment, gone the next.Spending time with your loved ones is important to tying those heart strings. My family has been key to these tough times.Especially my parents. They've protected me,cared for me,gave godly advice, and helped me bear my burdens.God has been with me throughout this trip, and He'll still be with me looooooonnnnnnngggggg after. My church family has supported my grandma and took the time to be there for her. That's something I won't forget easily and will always...

Self Quartine 2020

Image
My Dear Readers, It's been awhile since I've written what's been going on in my life lately.I'm sure many of you are aware of the coronavirus and self quartine going on.It's been a real struggle for me,although staying home can save lives, staying home.I've always really enjoyed my outings, even if it was a walk down the road,a car ride around the block,or a trip to town, now more than ever. Our local past treasures has hosted a drawing for top of quilts.Basically you sew a top of a quilt and upload the pic to their FB page. When you give the top to the person working at the store, you've to give the backing, and stuffing. So they can quilt and put top designs on it for you if you win the drawing.I've worked hard on it for 2 weeks now and am on my way to taking it to the store now. It's going to be a gift for my gr.grandmas bday. What comes with spring is water.Especially in Culverts, ponds, and rivers. It brings back so many memories of my childhood when Davi...
