All good things must come to an end.....

This past week was The Roseau County Fair, and I must say it was an AMAZING week.More than 300 kids were there to hear The Gospel!I was very grateful for all the help at The Good News Cabin this year.Afew others felt the same, because there was many a ice cream cone, cotton candy, and thankyous passed around.I had an amazing time.I enjoyed telling the story or asking if people wanted water, though my favorite was painting.I loved seeing the kids faces once I had finished! You have to experience it yourself,it's sometimes not the same as when you hear it from someone else.Though I enjoyed the cabin,it was also nice to walk around the fair.My two favorite exhibits was the EPIC one,and the Life care coloring area.Faith went on her first ride EVER just yuesterday. We waited in line for 45 minutes, but it was worth it for the Ferris Wheel. The fireworks also happneed to be going,so it looked more appealing from the ground, and we were both thankful for land once we got off!David went on his first

Bless someone today!

Many times throughout our lives,we are so caught up in our own lives,we don't stop and think about what others are going through in their lives.2 Kings 20:5a says-"I have heard thy prayer,I have seen thy tears;behold,I will heal thee....".You just never know what battle someone might be facing today.A kind word,a smile, and thoughtful gift can brighten the most cloudiest of days.Plato said-"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."Another one of my favorite quotes is by Lakshmi Priya. It says-"Not all scars are visible to the eyes, some are hidden in sweet smiles".

Fair Week

Image
So this week is the Roseau County Fair, and we have a stand every year hosted by Family Fundamental Church. It's called The Good news cabin. There,we provide FREE waterbottles,FREE facepaintings (or you could have it on your hand/arm),Free prizes, and Free stories.People there work so hard to share the clear message of the Gospel. We love kids, and often have a amazing time just listening to hear about whatever they wanna talk about.Well, when it comes to the Fair, there's often alot of rides, but the one that is ALWAYS the most loud is the rocket.I'm so glad they moved that away from the cabin this year! The story behind Mrs.Windsor wearing a mustasch is because she was playing marco polo with Quinn (A sweet kid of 3 of a friend of ours)and was disguising herself!Sorry, everybody,LOTS of photos are going up this week!

Adjusting to Change

Image
So,for our family one of the newest things that has been happening is our brother and son just got his first job out of the family. He ended up getting one at Marvins at we are all super excited for him!On that note,a new change.God has a way of showing us He is still in control through change.Change can be good, but sometimes it can also be how we react to it.Change is unchangeable.Change can be hard, but it's easy to be happy when there's a rainbow shining. But can we still feel that way when there's a thunderstorm? One way we can adapt to change is to have a heart of courage.Courage is doing the right thing at the right time even though your scared.God,through time and our cooperation, can give us a heart of courage. We have only to ask.

To inspire you

A poem for the week:God's Sacrifice "Small or tall, Bond or free,God still loves you and me. God sent His son down from above, And through Him,Sent to show His great love. Do you hear Him calling your name? If so,you'll never be the same. He'll live through your life, He'll cast His light on you, with peace, not strife. There is yet hope, don't turn your back and say "Nope". Turn to Christ now,and say with your fellow believers "Wow". Be in awe of God's creation, Live your life for Christ, feel the sensation, Of His peace, If all people believed, all wars would cease. Hear Him whose name holds honor, We are His clay, and He is the potter. He was God's Perfect Son,but the people didn't believe, So to show them,He did miracles and achieved. So when God called His Son from above, To again show His great Love. He died on the cross of Calvary, for you and me. There days later He arose from the

Taking down the 10+ yr.old barn!

Image
So,during all winter we have been realizing  how old and expanded our barn has gotten. So,a couple weeks ago,my family decided to 'help'tear it down.We weighed the chances of it coming down on its own as well as it falling on someone,or help tear it down and reduce the chances of it hurtin something or someone. So,on our weekends we have been spending time hitting the beams, moving beams, taking off shingles, ect. We were all very careful of each other, and if something came down,we moved the person or warned him about it.We,that is to say,my family and I we all VERY thankful for all the help of our grandpa, uncle, and grandma. We continue tearing it down, but are making fast progress.Soon,2 or 3 sheds will be built to shield the animals from the bad weather.Lesson of the week:Gratefulness. If you wanna say anything, please post in comments below. Thanks for reading, dear reader!

Courageous women of The Bible

Image
Women of the Bible (new and old testament)were so brave. They really had a heart of courage. They werent perfect, but even though they were terrified of the unknown,of what might happen ,they did the right thing anyways. We see this in many good examples.Like:Ruth, she was virtuous,Esther, she was wisdom,Lydia, she was giving and generous,Mary (the sister of Martha),was humble, and Jesus'mother Mary was obedient and humble.Time and time again God shows us women that did the will of God,and those that didn't.For those that didn't do the will of God was:Jezebel, she was selfish,Queen Vashti was disobedient, and Martha who didn't  exactly have her priorities straight.Evertone makes mistakes, but it is our choosing, whether we will learn from those mistakes or just to forget them. One of the wisest sayings I have heard was by George  Santayana. It said-"Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it."So,it is my hope, dear reader that you will learn from those ex

Adventure of the week

Adventures of the week.Seems like every week we have a new adventure.Whether it comes to replacing a roof, taking down a barn, celebrating our countries freedoms,or selling /buying a new animal.Sometimes it can be a ordinary day during the week the adventure (whatever it may be) can take place.Last weeks was all about tearing down 40 feet long and 20 feet wide barn.Everyone was helping.Bekah was keeping her sheep away while dad,my uncle,David,me,grandpa all tore it down.Mom and Faith helped both inside & outside the house,as well as keeping us hydrated and making dinner (yum!).Sometimes when our relatives came out we played cards and it was alot of fun.We made good memories.I'm so grateful for all the time God has given us!
