Under the starry sky

Image
So,I've been a little short on posts lately,so I decided to take up the extra slack by writing a poem. Its called "Under the starry sky": No sun,I am teary Replaced by rain,I am weary The moon comes out to see me It's very dark and dreary A star comes out ever so slightly It's shining very brightly Because of the rain, because of the snow The star shines even more so It has no where else to go So it just shines, and shines, and shines Up in the big blue sky Declaring the work of its maker It hopes to serve its Saviour The silver star is just like me It represents what I hope to be The rain, the snow, and the wind suddenly stops And I can truly see All those stars gazing sweetly down at me All those who believe in Christ, will live eternally All those stars ever so brilliantly Are those in Christianity So shine, shine, shine So Jesus Christ can see!

May Memories

Okay,so as you know I've been keeping on my toes, and obviously not keeping up with the blog as much. So,he's a flashback of May: So,me and 2 other people were going to graduate in May(this had been planned since January).May 15th at 1 pm to be exact. We had family coming up from NM,and Colorado,as well as California that would be staying with us.As well as 1 family friend from Washington Unfortunately, the place where dad was working, made it mandatory for dad in his department,to work saturdays. Some of the house was still damaged from the tornado that hit our house last year,so we were all in a rush to put the house back together.I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you're dad is only home 1 day out of the week and there is only certain things he can do that we cant, things were a little chaotic. There was some stress during that time planning things, but as soon as extended family was here,we all got to take a break and talk.We were glad for the reprieve. It was

April Recap

So,I just realized I didn't make a post for April(I try to get a post in for at least once a month.Sometimes more if I'm in a writing mood). So here goes: So pretty much the month of April was a blur for me since all I can seem to remember is working on a quilt at all hours of the day.I pretty much spent all my "Free time"(Whats that again?!)sewing, hand quilting, and typing it.Which seems like an easy feat right?Nope. It sounds easy, sure, but when you've only 3 weeks and half to make half the size of a queen sized blanket(bigger than twin)you're really in a rush. You don't have time to take too many breaks or leisurely work on it.Youve a deadline. At least that's how it was for me getting it done before an ACE Convention. My family was very patient with me during those times.Often helping me out with chores, helping cheer me on when I was tired and discouraged, and sometimes offering advice for a better way to do it.They were, and still are,a blessing in my lif
